EBAY was asking me to upload the VAT certificate

It is a business account, registered from another EU country (not GERMANY) and the turnover far less than 100 000euros.


Today I received an email from EBAY that I have to upload VAT certificate within 2 weeks, otherwise my account will be blocked.


But I was told if less then 100 000euros per year plus the item location from other EU country, I won't be asked to offer VAT certificate.

So what's going on now?

Clearly some people tell their opinions as true facts. I've heard several "facts" about how VAT works in germany and none were true. So i can say pretty much when that email comes things are done for.

That's the official info on the eBay website. Contact them and ask questions. They will clarify hopefully.

Sorry guys, my mistake.
I used the third software to list my items and the location was in Germany.

I emailed ebay that I made mistake and waiting the response from EBAY.

A lot of third softwares to help you uploading items quickly

he means third party listing tools like auctiva, etc..
