UK Paypal add bank account issue

Today when I try to add a bank account on paypal,it show the following content:

By continuing,you agree to let us send 2 small deposit amounts and retrieve them in 1 withdrawal.

I remember the paypal only send 1 small deposit amount to bank account before,get a 4 code,give them to paypal and confirm the bank account.

Now the paypal will retrieve them form bank account?And then they can see the bank account is mismatch name?

PayPal will send £0.01 to your bank account and then PayPal will not get the money back.
You will be able to get the 4-digit PayPal code on your bank statements within 3 days.
Mismatch name is fine.

it said it will send 2,not 1 deposit,but retrieve them back in one withdrawal.

the retrieval is probably automated,we dont know if it bothers to compare names,you have to ask the IT dept/programmer !

I got the same thing today i only got one deposit tho with the code on it

I just checked my bank account and nothing has been taking out

They wont take anything out

They will just deposit 1p and it will in the transaction column have a 4 digit code

You enter that 4 digit code into PP and then you have verified your bank account

I added a bank account today and i did notice something new they did say they were going to add 2 small deposits less than 1 pound but i took no notice and just added the account just checked my bank and nothing was taken out

But its defo new instructions

That’s what they used to do. They just send the 1 payment now
