Suspended Non Seller amazon US account. Help

I would like to open up a new amazon account. My wife and I share an account and it was recently Suspended. I have an old account that is no longer used but has my old address (i shipped items there all the time with my closed account) and correct name on file. would i be able to convert that account or should i open up a new account? How do i avoid account being linked?

if the non suspended store shares information with the suspended store, it has a chance of getting linked at some point in the future and possibly be suspended

stealth route may be hard to verify but you will rule out the linking possibility
