Would you buy an existing ebay seller account if you have to change all of the info ?
OK, so I have the opportunity to buy an existing seller account from an individual - the problem is I will need to change all of the information on the account - email, phone, registered name, SSN, and bank account.
My question is - do you think this is doable and will the account survive ?
How would you go about it without triggering the ebay closure bots ?

That is risky. You will look like a complete account hijacker. I had my account locked before for changing the bank, phone number and email. I had a red message on payouts that said. Your account may have been accessed by a 3rd party. Your payouts are on hold until you speak to a account specialist.

Very risky changing all the info - if you dont have to change the info (with that individual's allowing the use), you could just get the MP working in your info

Take the account and change the info slowly over time.
Ask if you can keep the email, and keep the phone on file and registered name and ssn , first start by changing bank. Then months later change name and ssn, then months later email and phone.

Did you get a DM from someone in the forum selling you the account?
If you need to change all the info, you might as well just make your own account.

Would you allow someone to have access to your account, with your SSN attached? a few months is a pretty long time, to sell a ton of stuff, and have you sent a hefty tax bill.

Right, the SSN and name change is the biggie right now. In the past it wasn't a problem, now, it specifically states that any change of name needs ebay approval.
What I am thinking is leave the existing owners information on the account, create a LLC or Corporation and upgrade to business account adding the business EIN.
