Smile How to bypass “reactive your eBay account easily”

Hi everyone,

So I thought I would share my experience with new accounts being hit with “reactive your eBay account” Every account I had created I was always hit with “reactive your eBay account message” after creating so many accounts I finally figured out what this message means and how to bypass it.

As we all know eBay is run by bots as it’s impossible for humans to monitor every single account so they set bots in place once an account triggers the bot that’s when a human will step into place. The good news about eBay being run by bots is that bots are very predictable and once you master how they run you can avoid receiving “reactive your eBay account message”

So what triggers this message that eBay have set in place?

1) account creation/set up
2) good solid IP address
3) new user
4) risky items
5) listing up straight away after creating seller account

Account creation/set up- If your account creation is not correct this will cause this message so make sure your account creation is spot on 100% real name address and date of birth.

Good IP address- you need a good IP address I use to use giffgaff mobile hotspot not anymore I now simply turn my router off and on and it changes ip everytime.

New user- if you list an item with the new user icon next to your user name you will be hit with this “reactivate your eBay account” message as the bot is set in place for new accounts if you don’t have this new user icon next to your name then your no longer classed as a new user and 1 step closer to avoid
“reactive your eBay account” message so wait 30 days until your no longer a new user.

Risky items- if you list a risky item up you will get this message if you pass and reinstate your account and sell the item you will also get hit with ID request and even if you submit 100% real ID you will be suspended. So don’t list risky items it’s a recipe for disaster on new accounts

Listing an item straight away- once you have created a seller account and list an item straight away you will get hit with the message and sometimes and instant suspension so don’t do it.

In a nut shell to avoid this message all you have to do is use real information, you don’t have to browse at all not even once. Create eBay account leave it for 30 days after 30 days turn it into sellers account and list your item up make sure it’s a 7 day auction listing “used item” and don’t list it for 99p starting bid with free postage and packaging big red flag.

That’s how you bypass reactive your eBay account

Nice experience - I just find browsing during that time and even "low end" bidding without expectation to win helps on my end

You’re not doing it right if every account you create is hit with reactivate restrictions.
Moreover, if you enable a seller account not from listing your first item, your selling limit will be severely limited.

Thanks Sam,

Helpful reminders, I will try waiting this 30 days and see if icon disappears for 'new user'?

And your first listing advice.

However, I don't feel address would need to matter since people can change their address all the time, and majority of people never usually have their correct address on their ID or postal/voting registrar systems (if eb verify against those records even?).

Goodluck!

Information should be real information and matching as when you create a sellers account eBay check to see if your information is verifiable. If you have a made up address which you or the person has never lived at it will raise a red flag.

It works every time and the funny thing is I listed a pair of shorts and jeans on my back up accounts these items got suspended on other accounts I created where I made school boy error mistakes.

So waiting 30 days using real information and listing my item around £9, £12 avoided
reactive your eBay account and no issues at all.
