There is no cost for no reserve, it is 4% of the reserve price, so only basic selling costs for the product in that category if there is no reserve price set for the auction.

High reserve to discourage sellers from setting reserve,most reserves are too high and seldom met, but seller should know the fee before using this feature
What you should mean is do no set a reserve price on an auction as the cost is an extra 4% on top of the category listing percentage.

My little nephew got stung with this on his first listing.
I told him to use a online eBay calculator to see final money he will receive. People should use them so they don’t get shocked after all the fees come out.
