Default PayPal/Ebay losses....

Just lost 2 'Chirstmas' account sets... tried and tested formula that has worked for the last 6 months without fail.

Matured accounts with ample positive feedback. Just started putting volume sales through. Both got limited for suspiscious activity shortly after the second withdrawal of funds (the first one completed fine).

Gonna half the value of sales and daily withdrawals on remaining accounts see what happens....

Rats to that. 99% sure that the formula per se is correct still BUT it is the timing of the accounts becoming active. Last year after Thanksgiving, paypal did 'sweeps' thro'out all countries on new accounts. Yes, the accounts were created correctly, but as soon as funds 'moved' thro' the accounts there were limitations made.
Are you able to resolve the problems? Be mindful of this happening with the other new accounts & watch the amount of monies

So this sort of thing happens to the most experienced of us...
Am I correct in assuming that you followed all the rules and basically your accounts were limited for absolutely no reason other than you actually using the accounts to sell?
You mention volume - what kind of volume are we talking here? how many items? and value? I understand if you do not want to post this info out here and would appreciate a PM about it.
Bottom line - it seems there is no such thing as a winning formula (at least not long term). I got a couple of accounts shut down on me (posted about it several days ago) for absolutely no reason. No selling on them and no activity - and yes I followed ALL the rules.
I hate paypal... I hate ebay... and I cant wait for Someone - ANYONE - to come up with any sort of competition. If it ever happens.

one thing about ebay, you can't get too excited about increased sales around the holidays. You still have to pace yourself and not move too many high value items at once. Let your accounts cool down and keep other accounts in rotation.

Hi guys thanks for the responses...

The 'holiday season' were my thoughts 2.... I'm going to run my remaining accounts slowly. I had initially set the accounts up to use during this period so as not to put 2 much strain on my main accounts but it seems to have backfired lol...

I also think you are right it is not the stealth method that has failed in this instance as my main stealth accounts continue to be fine.

I have been thinking for a while of shifting my remaining inventory and moving categories so that is my goal for the New Year...

These were what I would call flimsy accounts in terms of being able to verify them.... Would have abondoned them after Christmas anyway. The advantage with the limitation coming early is I can refund all the buyers as haven't sent items, so haven't got money trapped.

I reduced my sales and withdrawals by 50% and my remaining Christmas accouts are going OK.

However withdrawals are taking 72 hours to complete! I tried the £5 fast option but they just refunded the fee after 48 hours.

Still everything ticking over for now.
