The biggest advantage is that you only have one eBay account to worry about not getting suspended, before you had to worry if PayPal was going to suspend your account as well as eBay.

With MP,it would deposit your sales proceeds to your bank account, you dont have to do it
yourself like Paypal.
But with Paypal, you can keep the $$ in your Paypal account as long as you like,if you use your Paypal debit card as a CREDIT CARD,you get cash rebate.

You can also keep your Paypal fund in different currencies,or ask Paypal to covert it to local currency.
Say you sell on Ebay Germany, and you get paid in EURO,you can keep them as Euro, and use them to buy from EU sellers.
You can also ask Paypal to send you a bank check, fee applied.

It's all about fiscal control by governments. The advantage is them. It's obvious old situation was way better technically speaking ( financial too )
We may speak about less competitor, and this is true and this is our advantage. Maybe more stability than before...and i can't see any others

EBay use to do holds separate to PayPal when they used them before MP, now it’s just their 15 day hold on new accounts, after 3 months and steady sales I get paid the day after the sale before I ship.

There used to be a lot of apprehension before MP was rolled out, but I believe it is an improvement when it works, payouts are simpler and some can instantly withdraw to debit card. No gaypal games anymore and egay gets all the profit. Downside, if you get suspended, it all goes away
