Etsy in Sisters Name | Bank Asking for Empoyment Details
Please help!
Got a form yesterday in the mail from my bank asking for me to fill out a W9, giving them my TIN or Social | Since they may have it but it has to be verified.
I have no actual job in my name | I sell on Etsy using my sisters name.
Logged in my banking account online and its asking for my employment details. When I try to edit it it wont accept it.
Etsy in sister's name | deposits into my account & husbands.
I do taxes in her name every year and pay taxes.
Will be going to the bank to make the forms are legit. I will give them my social. What should I say regarding those deposits? That they are my sisters? Or mine? Not sure what to do.

They are requiring verification from the IRS about your SSN in case they have to file any forms about your account. I would not worry about it too much, a lot of people have other peoples salary deposited into their account and this is a similar situation, I doubt if they will ask you any questions about your deposits, it’s just a housekeeping exercise.
