Activity: 0% Longevity: 9% | | My PayPal account has been permanently disabled -AUP
Hello everyone,
Today I received a notification that my account has been permanently disabled. The notification stated: "Some of your products or services are in violation of PayPal’s acceptable use policy. Therefore, you can no longer conduct business with PayPal..."
I have a few questions and hope to get some help.
When I created a business account and received payments, PayPal restricted my account and requested a description of the type of business, the source of funds, and what products I was selling.
I provided information about my business type, source of funds, and the items/products I’m selling (digital products). PayPal approved my request and removed the restriction. Now, after 4 months, they’re informing me that "Some of your products or services are in violation of PayPal’s acceptable use policy."
Why did they agree to remove the restriction on the items I’m selling and then later notify me that I’m violating their policy? Isn’t this a policy trap for users?
The terms state that if I violate this regulation, I will have to compensate PayPal $2,500. Does this mean that all the money I earned with hard work will be forfeited? PayPal had previously allowed me to sell these items by removing the restriction on my account after I proved the source of funds and the type of business. Now, they’re saying that I’m violating their policy. This seems like a trap and an attempt to seize users' funds.
Who can I contact to resolve this issue? I don’t want to lose my money; it’s a significant amount for me. They say the money will be withdrawn after 180 days, but I might end up having to pay a fine and the balance could be $0 or negative.
Has anyone been able to remove this violation order yet?
Thank you for taking the time to help.

What exactly did you sell? | I bought a YouTube Premium family subscription and shared it with others. I also helped people pay for Spotify Premium and took a commission. Does this violate any policies?

Is there any way to help me withdraw the money to my account before PayPal takes it all?As I understand it, if an account is suspended under this rule, all the money in the account will be lost.

If paypal takes your money, you will find in your transaction history that the fund has been transferred to Paypal

The money hasn’t been transferred by PayPal yet, but in the future, it will be transferred just like others here."

for now you can ignore the terms , $2800 is too much for a new account , you should start with $200-$300 per month and increase it by 15%-20% per month , if more money is needed it should be spread between multiple paypal accounts

As sales increase—200, 500, 1200, 2800 dollars—I wonder if I can file a complaint since they knew what I was selling before. My account is in Singapore, and I don’t know where to send an email. They only provide a phone number for contact, which isn’t helpful.

AUP violation = your account is gone and you won't get the money ... sorry.
I heard of 1 or 2 people who did get the money but chances are slim to none from what I've seen.

I doubt they will pay anything out

The issue is that they knew what I was selling before when they first investigated the source of funds and my business model. They agreed to let me sell this product by reactivating an account that had been disabled. This implies that they acknowledged my product does not violate the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). Can I file a complaint against them on this basis?

I doubt they will pay anything out | So they should have flagged my account as high risk, not for violating the AUP.

Go back to the AUP list, what you sold is not kosher.
I used to keep this list by me,but not anymore, things like pyramid scheme, stocks, get rich scheme, hazardous material ,military related stuff.
Selling too much is not an AUP violation.

you keep low profile and they will likely let you run the payments with no problems as they hunt down people with balances they can freeze and keep
fun fact: you receive 5K within a month and withdraw it frequently leaving low balance all the time you survive but if you decide to accumulate it and withdraw once a month they will just kick you out at some point because they will want to seize the funds
the math is simple , they charge 4% , 5K would be 4% of 125K so that it is cheaper for them to seize your 5K rather than let you make 125K turnover and bear additional risks
