Changing Bank Account on Stealth MP Account

It's been a long time since I've done this and things may have changed.

Will it flag an ID verification if I change the bank account on my 10 year old fully stealth (yes one of the rare full stealth accounts that passed MP) eBay business account?


Looking to change to a HSBC Saving account, from a Virgin Money saver

you can do it as long as you have a valid cell phone on file which has been on file for 1-2 months

saver will not be working though , they will send a test deposit and account will be removed from ebay as invalid

Interesting, thanks for the info. Yes my number has been active for years on that account.

No savers anymore? That's problematic. All my accounts use Savers :(

open current ones , uk banks allow multiple accounts. you put saver on file and within 3-20 days you will receive a message that it can not be used

I miss the old days...:(

Its all part of the government crack down, Savers can't be seen through credit checking by the powers that be, whereas current accounts can.

The flag it MIGHT trigger is them making sure that your account isn't hacked.

So login from exactly the same windows m browser, IP etc.

I always do this.

Sadly, the Saver accounts not being accepted is the real issue for me now.

Nothing to do with that at all. The government and HMRC can see all accounts you have.

It's down to a DD needing to be active that's why the savings get rejected by ebay

There used to be savings accounts that allowed DD not sure if there is anymore though its why current accounts are best

You can also use Payonner or a Wise bussiness current account (wise personal won't work if the names are mismatching)

Yes I am aware of the DD mandate too, sad times its all changed!

It will be mismatched names. I've never used Payonner, so are they a safe bet you think? and how long to do they take to set up?

I would rather say differently , if the government would like to see your accounts they will be found

but there is also a bright side to this - if it ever comes to authorities looking into to you so thoroughly that all bank accounts will be found and examined - then you will not need to blame yourself as there is nothing more you could have done

Payoneer is probably the way forward, they will not care whether you add savers accounts(yet). Also I believe with online accounts that you don't have a physical card with, selfie ID is not required. But I think you need selfie ID with physical Payoneer cards. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

payoneer won't care but ebay will , they hate payoneer accounts in countries that are not assigned to payoneer on MP so such an account would be suspended either immediately or in the near future

In terms of UK managed payments then it would be understandable if the Payoneer account was registered in another country. And how does MP Uk hold up with UK Payoneer? Would be interesting to hear feedback from those who are doing it.

in the UK you are unlikely to be able to do that , in the EU it can be done , suspension usually comes with some delay
