Default If Aa US accountZ deactivates account

As most know, we are moving to retire this year. One of our Canadian accounts is being asked to verify business entity including photo ID.
I have used my passport on a US account. I could use my DL but the name and address on it got killed in 2012.
Don't want it to interfere with the passport US acct, so I have been selling off all inventory (almost all gone) so I can get the most out of this before they deactivate.
Wondering if I cancel the CC associated with this account once AZ deactivates, will AZ try anything that I have not thought of. Not really concerned about loosing the account. This is a ghost account.

Thanks

They do keep everything once they get their hands on it. =\

Wow. That title got weird on me.

Should read "If AZ deactivates account"

Must have dozed off for a second, or maybe blame my imaginary cat.

That's what I was thinking even though it has been 13 years.

Going to shut everything down this year, so might as well start with this acct. Just wondering if they might try to jam me up in some unknown form. They will get about $300 in inventory though. Not that they wouldn't try to sell it themselves

Well, the first acct got shut down in Canada. I wasn't going to provide all the info that AZ wanted. This includes a Self Attestation (flowchart) of all owners, DOB, and photo ID's with home address. AZ can say it's because of the Government, but I call B S on it.
Especially since our other Canada acct hasn't been hit with this crap.
It's too much personal and confidential info.

At least we still have 3 accts to ride out the next 6 months before calling it a career.

Amazon will generally retain your payout balance even if the card is canceled, as they store funds separately from your funding source. What you can expect is that they might hold the balance for up to 90 days in the event of a return or chargeback. Past that, if everything goes smoothly, they'll release the rest of the funds to the on-file bank account. Canceling the card won't actually alter that process.

As it stands right now, I left about $200 in the account, but now receiving emails about a balance due since no card on file.
No snail mail from them.

Thanks

It's a shame you're really shutting them down.

That first account was shut by AZ as I didn't want to submit all the new crazy paperwork for the Canadian side.

Still 3 active, 1 Canadian for about 2 months, and the 2 US ones will last until Dec.

I’ve got a few more years where I need to keep selling, so this is worrying. Did they also deactivate the US marketplace or just the Canadian one? I don’t mind the Canada side being deactivated because we sell only on the US side.

I believe only the CND side, but our US registered accts will be hit on Nov 1st.

Will let you know after that.

Hit, in this case, is the deadline to submit the paperwork to verify CND accts.

Sorry for the scare.

Looks like when I go to confirm my CA account with my personal details, it changes it on the US account as well. I registered my CA account with my real details when they first requested it and it passed just fine but now they want to reverify both. The problem is that the US account has stealth details while the CA has my real info.

What a mess

Are you operating with a CA IP or US IP?

Hi. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing what happened with the US Registered accounts since today is Nov 1st

These accts were opened as US accts. Sometime years later, AZ set these accts up as US/MEX/CAN.

Both accts on the CAN side are deactivated, but MEX and US are still active.

Thanks
