Default I think I'm done with ebay (selling)

I think i'm seriously done with ebay at least as a seller!

I have an american express bluebird account to receive payments from sales.

ebay sent my payout. american express bluebird sent my payment back (after the .1 verification. amex customer support says "we didn't reject your payment, you'd have to contact ebay" "I don't see the $136.72 payment that came from ebay" even though I can see it on the bluebird.com site and the bluebird app.

I then logged into ebay and not only did I have a neutral feedback from a buyer who refused to pay and whose order I canceled as he wished. but as I report the buyer. and then go to change my bank to a credit union account that I own. ebay restricts me and asks for front and back of photo id. yeah i'm done. maybe etsy will work for stealth but as for ebay. i think it's time to call it quits

Yeah when I setup a ebay account under my GFs account they wanted ssn. Front and back of her DL then had to do facial recognition. It's f**king stupid. All this crap started after sleepy Joe dropped to tax requirements to $600 a year. So if u sell over 600 u have to pay taxes on these platforms

I understand why you are upset, but why would you add a bank account you didn’t think would be a long term solution for the account, then be surprised your account didn’t turn into a long term account?

Amex Bluebird is typically for people who cannot get traditional bank accounts.

damn it wouldn't let me PM you but basically I had the BlueBird for years and was hoping that I could use it for holding ebay funds. damn I miss paypal. with whatever you sell to make the profit you're making did you have to set up a business bank account?

Single member LLC, owned by a parent LLC, with my business bank account. To my knowledge this is the only way to actually maintain a real account. I guess it may depend how much you sell. I’m doing around $13k monthly. I would never trust that on a personal account. Having known how eBay operates.

it has been a known issue on ebay that some bank accounts are considered high risk

if you want to avoid that you have to use major banks who have millions of customers as ebay would not dare restrict people based on this alone , for example you use HSBC and you are good

How To Add Cash to the Bluebird American Express Card
Customers can reload their Bluebird prepaid cards for free at Family Dollar. Adding money at Walmart carries a $3.74 fee. There are thousands of other retailers—including CVS Pharmacy, 7-Eleven and Walgreens—that offer reload services for a fee of up to $3.95. When you add cash at a retailer, it is available to spend immediately.

You can also use Mobile Check Capture by Ingo® Money on the Bluebird mobile app to deposit money from checks. This is free if you use the “Money in Days” option, but you’ll have to wait up to 10 days to access your funds. There’s a “Money in Minutes” option if you need your funds immediately, but you’ll have to pay a fee of up to 5% of the check amount.
--------
It is not a bank account, just a debit card.
Does Ebay deposit fund to debit card not linked to a bank account??

That sucks, it really does. If you don't want to lose your account though, I'd look into getting an ID/ID selfie for that purpose so at least you can cash out, and best case scenario save the account.
