Default Buyer entered expletive on his Shipping Address

I swear I get all the weirdos. Anyway, buyer purchased an item and in his "Ship to" address he decided it would be cool to address it to a name with the N word in it. Yep, the racist word. Noticed it while printing the label.

Anyway. Really dont feel comfortable sending it as such. Thinking about deleting his chosen "name" and instead replacing it with his ebay username which is much more family friendly.

Any thoughts? What would you guys do?

hmmmm..... I would tell him that the shipping label errored and censored the name. Then ask for a real name?

I'd ship it putting in my own typo...replace a letter or so.

If buyer says anything, you can just say "oh, my shipping production rejected the spelling" or typo or whatever

I had one a few weeks ago with the name 'mind your own business'.

I googled the phone number and address, found his real name and used that.

Normally I'd not bother, but the item was about 200 pounds.

No idea if he noticed, he did message me saying he was very happy with the fast delivery and left positive feedback.

People that are self grandiozing are just cringe IMHO.
If you have power, don't show it, be soft and the way you carry yourself will speak for itself. Right?

You get a lot of dumb names? funny, because I never got a single one of those being on eBay for over 15 years.

That's a smart way of doing it.

Its more of a Amazon thing in my experience, I think people are more used to adding extra delivery addresses (and names) to Amazon.

I've had a few people giving themselves ⊗⊗⊗⊗ aristocratic titles over the years, Sir this, Duke that.

A few years back I got a email from a woman complaining I'd sent the wrong item, I checked and she was right I had.

The relevance to this thread is that her email sig was 'The Duchess of .....'

Obviously I googled her name and address and she really was a duchess.

Unfortunately it was a nightmare order, after sending the wrong item initially, the replacement was lost by the couriers, I got it right on the 3rd attempt.

Luckily she was very reasonable, perfectly polite despite the problems and happy when she eventually got the item.

I was quite surprised a wealthy duchess in her 80s with a massive country house and estate was personally shopping online and dealing with problems (especially as she'd mentioned having a secretary in one of the emails)

Likely an assistant or family member did the shopping for her...

Being a duchess does not always mean she is cashrich, many of these European royals have castles and antiques, but not enough cash to cover all the expenses.
