A digital play hiding in plain sight
Every so often, marketplace data throws up something that doesn’t quite fit the usual patterns - and when it does, I take notice.
Last month, while tracking Etsy’s category-level velocity, one segment stood out. No viral spike, no influencer push…
yet it’s quietly sustaining:
20–50 organic sales/day
$3000-$4500 monthly gross
~40% net ROI
Buyer repeat rate higher than most comparable digital niches
It’s not “printables,” not “templates,” and not anything that’s been hyped in the usual eCom groups.
This is one of those products you’d scroll past without a second thought - unless you’re watching the right signals.
What’s strange is the competitive density: seasoned sellers aren’t piling in, even though the search positioning is relatively easy to hold once you’re in the top cluster.
Not sharing the SKU here (obviously), but I’m happy to discuss signal detection methods with anyone who’s deep into digital product analytics - the patterns are worth watching.
