I'm trying to buy something and this pop-up is appearing. I haven't clicked continue, does anyone know the best way to deal with it?

Are you logging on a new computer or device?

Sounds like new device, or you've changed something recently like phone number, bank account etc.

I see this occasionally.

You just log in in the new tab, its not going to ask for anything we would consider 'verification' it's just poorly worded.

Happened very randomly to me - new device usually but I try with different browsers like chrome, edge, and it eventually went off

It did go away eventually.

I was trying to buy something and I also got a full screen message saying to contact CS which also went away after a couple of days

Re-log your account, also make sure to add a password to your account and it's not logging in with Apple/Google.
Make sure your have your sim card with the phone number linked to the account active and ready to receive SMS while you're at it. You might get SMS prompted once you add a password to your account.

This is a glitch that has been a pain in the a$$ for the past 3 years ... Don't know why eBay haven't sorted it out yet...

An example of when it appeared: I had an item in my basket that I had not paid for yet and I couldn't remove, I tried to buy another item with my ebay balance and that message came up. I managed to remove the unpaid item from my basket and then I managed to buy the other item. Not sure it's a glitch, more like Ebay's games
