Cannot add bank manually anymore (USA)

Since 19 August 2026 i am unable to add bank manually via routing + account number for payouts.
Yesterday i was able to and today the website has removed that functionality.
Can you confirm? This is catastrophic. Tested on 2 different accounts. USA. Chrome browser.

The error says "Can't find your bank? Select another bank" and there's no option to manually input.

If you select a small no-name bank that doesn't work with Trustly, the error is:
"Please select a different bank to continue.
We're unable to connect to this bank due to technical issues. We don't have an estimated time for resolution and it may remain unavailable."

There is no way to add bank without Trustly anymore.

I attempted to add a bank account to a new seller account (USA) but got an error, 'unable to add bank account'. I had to call eBay support and they removed a block preventing it - I had to answer questions to verify my identity since the same bank account is used on two other seller accounts I use (non stealth)

Your issue sounds like there is a security block somewhere

Have you tried calling them about it ?

Getting the same thing. It is one of two things:

1) Trustly only allows instant verification now

Or

2) It is temporary while Trustly is updating their system

At first I thought it might be at Ebay's request. That it might be specific to Ebay's Trustly integration. But I signed up for a Draftkings account and Trustly also removed the manual entry feature from them too.

We should know in the next couple of days if this is permanent.

I thought Trustly does instant verify, eBay does micro deposits themselves..

I actually did this recently for a US-based eb account - my old bank account I had closed out so I added a BoA account via login - bank account was in my name but I registered it to my USA account which is in stealth name

When I went on eb.com, it was asking for the bank so I did the verification via that Trustly service - I logged onto my online BoA account and the primary chequing was added without trouble. My eb account has existed for years though - low-end seller

and the bank name and Ebay name was different when you verified via Trustly?? with no issues??

This issue seems to be fixed. The option is there again to manually add through routing and account number.

Yes - for me at the time anyhow.
