BTC up $5k in the last 24hrs

Has anyone here been faithful enough to stay invested in Bitcoin during the downturn over the past year or so? If so, today is probably a fun day for you.





I still think BTC is cool but it's unfortunate how the tech has been turned into a tool for profit/financial manipulation. I was sitting on a little over a hundred dollars worth before today.

it is a rally engineered for midterm elections , I would get out by late october and not wait much longer

the issue on crypto is speculative funding , money flows in and flows out without getting invested long term that is why the only broad market rise that is reliable is a fundamental one , election manipulation means it will go down soon as fundamentals in the economy are abysmal

It's the same with stock markets. Everything has been gamified so now everyone is gambling.. just with varying levels of sophistication.


As for crypto, the time to "get rich HODLing" is long gone. There's too much money involved now and it's been institutionalized.

crypto is just more violent because stocks have a lot of long capital while crypto is more like high and low tide

I just got a postcard in the mail earlier this week from a metal dealer on the other side of the country that I bought from a few years ago. You know the market is doing well when they're able to afford bulk mailing cold customers from a database..

I have money in BTC that is just speculation - longterm holding, not worried about needing it so here's hoping it jumps back up

Been in the game for a while now and thankfully it's worked out so i'm no longer fearful of any major dips, it's just another opportunity to buy if I have the means to do so at the time.

What were your entrance positions though? Have any of you actually made a decent profit just by having diamond hands and not selling?


Feels like even the guys who were originally super confident in crypto as an investment have long since abandoned the positions that could've made them rich.

The problem is that it's tough to pinpoint the ups and downs - I don't trade but that diamond hands aspect I appreciate - I am (thankfully for now) able to leave a chunk of change in the btc just letting it go wild - bought quite some time back so it's just a long hold...

I asked futuremogul88 a few weeks ago if he's a millionaire yet because he made an accurate prediction about BTC going over $100k on this forum back before it had passed $20k for the first time. He never responded though

What about the early ICO investors though? I've heard of one or two. Most people pull the trigger and sell when they see a 2-3x profit, rather than stay exposed to the risk.

That guy should try to recover the BTC with his wallet's seed phrase because he'll never find the hard drive. I'm fairly certain that the recent coldcard hack has proven that even offline wallets can be drained if the seed phrase is known.

Someone was threatened in an NYC hotel for his Bitcoins.
I cant believe USPS shipping is so expensive now,just talked to my gold dealer,he said does not matter what form of gold it is,they will all be scrapped and turned into gold bars.
