What the h*** is this?

RXI058 paypal limitation with standard letter
below:

As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the
PayPal system. During a recent screening, we noticed an issue regarding
your account.

Recent account activity has made it necessary for us to collect additional
verification information.
got hit with this limitation and they linked it with an old account.
impossible.

They said they needed to verify my card again but they changed the numbers. this is very weird. They also said I was associated with another account. I cleared all cookies and used other user accounts. what the heck is this??
made 2 withdrawals 400 range then made another for 350 and they killed my account.

"They" changed the numbers? I wonder if a Paypal employee has some manual checks on your account - quite possible.

How are the names on the associated account - similar? Address...similar? I say similar because just a few letters doesn't cut it for a manual review.

Selling same items? Did you ever upload funds from your bank account? A lot more info is needed before we can determine the cause.

its not the card number I had on there..
and they told me I am associated with another account and gave me the email that im so called associated with. They want me to send 2 docs (I can provide) and verify the other bank account on my paypal (have one confirmed and the other wasnt) and to CLEAR UP THE OTHER USER NAME.. I dont have anything to do with the other name so its impossible.
its very weird.
I made one transfer to confirmed bank account and another transfer to unconfirmed bank account. have done it in the past with no issues.

It's a nasty trick that paypal are doing. Let me explain. A flag gets raised and the system detects some similarity to another account. This stock email goes out to trap the account holder. Some holders are so trapped and paypal win.
Others like you, bmw, are asked to go thro' a process to prove ID. Not going to be too negative, it's not a guarantee you will win with this limitation. Be prepared for a fight.
BTW is this account related to that one where you filed that report? If so it's revenge

this is strange. I am adding another account to it so maybe they will lift it. I am adding a bank account I dont care about just in case its a trap. its $1,100 in the account so I would love to have the $$.
I am getting a little pissed at paypal (more than normal) I have 3 accounts down lately totalling about $2000. they can give it to me one way or I will take it another way.

some accounts only have less than 20 feedback. im selling expensive items. double edge sword. its good and its bad. I try to take it out but they have those dumb holds on my money until item delivered.

add that to the other nasty tricks they are doing.
They added another bank account to withdraw money on my other account. Then they wouldnt accept my bank account numbers. I had to give them their bank account number after I logged in again. They wouldnt talk to me until I gave it to them. I then created another bank account and added it again and ignored their bank account number.
