Ok one of my accounts was limited recently, PP wanted to confirm my location by entering my phone number again, thing is my voip number was prefix 0203 which is a fairly new code for London. The verification failed, which i'm assuming is because of the 0203, and I then had to supply a utility bill.

So just to let UK people know it's probably safest to stick with 0207 and 0208 in London

Nope, I verified Paypal and eBay with a 0203 number :D

Hmmm must be a classic case of Paypal of talking out of their arse!

i have verified with 0203 numbers as well. I've learnt from citynumbers that paypal can now identify virtual numbers. They are catching up

I wouldn't be surprised, it's very easy to determine the virtual numbers as they are not random, but in blocks.

Am new and just about to set up my first eBay Stealth account.
Am I right in that when you say they can detect virtual numbers, that means ones like 0870, 0745 etc.
So we need to use 0203 numbers to get round this and make sure they cant sus it ?
