Thumbs up Hi to all..! allow me to introduce myself.. (also.. quick question!?)

Finally, after reading for about a couple of weeks, ive decided to write a start a thread.

First a quick hello to all of you mr/s jones/smiths/ etc etc

I am massively glad to find a whole forum full of people getting together to find ways around the huge difficulties selling online in the monopolised market!

Buy it, Sell it, Hate it !

Havnt yet bought the Stealth Book but plan on doing so in the next week of two after a couple of final exams are out of the way..

In all honesty, i have known the basic jist of the 'stealth' way around pp/eB for quite some time now.. since first being limited and banned from both sites at the age of 16..

My set-up consists of my iphone connected a monitor/keyboard/mouse.. toggling aeroplane mode off/on to change ip and using flextel land line numbers.. ill be happy to fully explain.. although im sure most of u understand..

I tend to sell mostly, what are described as, Vero items.. hence going through my fair share of accounts..

Getting limited doesnt bother me so much as it used to.. it is just a process and i expect it to happen soon enough.. although it is nice when going un noticed for a more than a month or two..

(im guessing once i read the book, things will get considerably better)

I usually withdraw funds as soon as they arrive.. im not sure if you guys feel this is hotting myself up? its just that i hate more than anything being robbed by paypal when they limit me..

what really pee's me off is the withrawal reversal they manage to do a whole day after i withdraw the funds and they dissappear from my pp balance.

Does anybody know how long until i can be definately sure I will receieve the funds..??

Its just that this has happened in the past after i sent the item so i lost out on the item and the funds..

anyway, as i mentioned.. after completing my finals i finish university,, with dire job prospects for obvious reasons.. .. i plan on moving towards this field on a full time basis for at least a year or two and maximise its potential.. i look forward to being apart of it !

Welcome, I would not focus on ebay as a career, especially after just leaving university.

It is not easy!

Selling VERO makes it 10 times harder as well.

Welcome to the forums. 1st tip: Do NOT withdraw funds as soon as they arrive - this looks badly for Pa yp al. 2nd tip: Yes guide is good to read. 3rd tip: There is no DEFINITE period of time expected to pass before you know that funds have completed transfer - only 100% way is to check at bank.

All the best.

Thanks for the tips lads!

I wouldn't want to do something that was easy! And I dont intend a life-long career.. Just a year or two until I've built up enough capital to move on.

Youre not wrong there mate, Iv sold vero items on a part time basis for around 5 years so am fairly familiar with the difficulties.

Has anybody had any issues with the tax man?

If I received, say, a total of 30k from stealth accounts in a given year.. Should I expect the tax man to come knocking?

Spread out the sales and it is unlikely he will come knocking.

can you use these in the UK flextel land line numbers and do you send them to a mobile number or landline?

4th TIP: Flextel is a rip off
5th TIP: Use another VOIP provider, like soho66, save a few quid and buy the stealth guide

I've sold my fair share of vero items and i can tell you it's really not worth the hassle. just got a 180 day hold on an account with £4200. it's not fun when you've got bills to pay

Also my friend has 5 ebay shoped linked to the one paypal(not vero or stealth)
he takes out all his paypal earnings everynight to pay for stock the next day and he dose not have any trouble with it, just thought i'd add my 2 cents in. thanks
