As I stated in the other DHL threads on this section, I had a packaged held. I just got a letter today asking for $15 for customs duty. Is it safe to pay this? I an concerned with giving them my personal information etc. Any advice would be appreciated.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
I dont know I always use usps express mail and I have never had anything stop at customs or had to pay any amount of money to get them through customs.

They are only giving me a few days to pay this. Maybe I can pay with a money order to avoid personal information? I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Since it's only $15, I would say just give the money order idea a shot. I am sure your package is worth a lot more and money orders are the best way to stay anonymous.
If DHL said it is pay for duty,so i think it is ok to pay it and you can try to avoid to show your real ID.Maybe the sender value it too much on the bill.
they sent me a duty letter when I imported 10 geveys.. paid as I get way too many packages with DHL without any problems. Last thing I want is problems with DHL. They've been nothing but great to me over the years.
So should I pay this? The items they are holding are vero items and I do not want to show my ID etc. I'm still on the fence about whether to send out a money order or not. I really don't want to get in trouble but don't see how I would when I'm not showing any type of ID etc.
