lesson learned: confirm your card BEFORE withdrawing..
I got my first account limited in around 2 years now ...and it's probably my own fault. I withdrew about $70,000 from this account in 2 years without ever being limited. About 6 months ago, the credit card on the account expired and I didn't care. Even then, I could still withdraw several thousand dollars. A few days ago, I added a new credit card and did the 4-digit verification thingy. When I logged in, it asked me to verify the 4-digit code a few days later ..I didn't and went to withdraw $20 (yes $20 only) and in the same minute the PayPal account was limited, asking me to confirm the 4-digit code (doh!) and tracking numbers for the sales, nothing more. They don't want ID or passport or drivers license or anything, just the 4-digit code and tracking numbers, but still the account is limited for now.
So what's the reason of this post? Always verify your card when adding a new one, before withdrawing.
The funny thing is, I've been withdrawing for months, thousands of dollars, without any credit card linked to the account. Only when adding a new card and not confirming it, PayPal probably treated the account like a new account pending verification again and limited it.
