Paypal wants docs

I have been using this site with great success, thank you to everyone for sharing their experiences it's been a great help.

I have a stealth account that i have been using for a couple of months now but paypal want my medicare number or passport number as id confirmation, I can give the documents they need for the medicare card.
I am not sure if they are able to check the number against the name, has anybody had any experience with this? and if so could you please let me know. I look forward to your replies. Thank you in advance.

Supply what they want. Ensure that part of the numbers are blacked out. Should not be a problem.

Thanks guys, Just a quick update, I rang medicare direct and spoke to them about what information payapl can access, they advised me that there is no way paypal or any other organization can access private medicare information under the Australian privacy laws. You should go to the page were other identification is asked for, ie drivers license and utility bills, all sorted and back in action. Thank you for your replies and I hope this helps someone else.
