Default Looking to pay for a car through PP around £1K

Has anyone ever had any issues with sending large amounts of money through PP to buy something?

I am looking to pay for a car (around £1000) through PP with money already sat in PP.

cant see it been a problem for you

will it take you over your sending limit?

think it would only be an issue if you was the seller and you would be at risk of the buyer doing a chargeback

surprised the seller dont want to do cash in hand tbf

Hope you have seen the car B4 you make the sale? Is that part all sorted?

What, if any, buyer's protection will you have.

Consider calling paypal and asking them what you could do to buy a car using them..... ask for their advice. Surprsingly they can be helpful ANd make sure you get the name of the staff member.

What are the specifics of the deal? On or off ebay? ebay motors?

@GTB

No, it won't take me over the sending limit.

@GreenBean

I have viewed the car, it is spares/repairs and on an ebay auction (I fix up and repair damaged and spares/repairs motors) - the car is sold as seen.

Seller has agreed to accept PP as long as i cover fees.

Alright Phone paypal & ask for help. Should avert a limitation if you let them know in advance.

If it was over £1000 and you are going to collect it I would try and arrange something with the buyer to pay him cash as he is going to be paying a hefty amount of Paypal fees for a £1000 payment. You might even be able to negotiate like a deal where you pay him the money less half what he would have paid in paypal fees - probably about £20 off and he will be saving another £20, so everyones a winner! If the car is been 'sold as seen' then you are already agreeing not to expect any refund. Think about it.
