Activity: 0% Longevity: 83% | | Sellers getting annoyed with my behavior as a buyer
I have called a few sellers because I wanted to verify what im getting before I purchase. I usually just buy and then go to advance and choose seller contact information and when I call some sellers they are freaked I can tell. They ask me first time how did you get my number? I tell them ebay gave it to me since I just bought from you and they say ebay gave you my number? Anybody else with these kinds of stories?

I have pulled the info on some cases but not all the time. Some sellers would be freaked out - especially new sellers or sc*m sellers.

I would be the same too. Last thing I want is these socially unstable buyers calling me. Messaging system has worked great for several years | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to mercurial333 For This Useful Post: | | |

I have never had the need to call up any EB seller to date, though once or twice I have lifted their details from EB if I have received an item from them without any seller return address or anything like that. One such seller messaged me wondering why I choose to do that - I just told him I wondered whom the sender was of the package I had received.

Well, how about people just not answer calls from numbers they don't recognize? I know I don't. And the mailboxes on all my phones are not set up, so no one can ever leave me stupid voicemails.

Why would you want to call them anyways?
If you ask your question through the eBay messaging system, then you have an electronic "paper trail" that can help you get your money back in the event the item is not as described. With a phone call, you don't have proof of anything.

Perhaps FanDan has other motives of which they chose not to discuss. So intimidating via phone call is his weapon.
HAHA...COOL TITLE CHANGE ON THREAD. 100% ACCURATE.

Unless it's a business and they advertise phone support/customer service I can understand why they get annoyed or caught off guard. Just use the eBay messages if this is indeed a situation as you have described.
Always use eBay messages as there's proof of any contact.

I am confused.
In other post you state you get tired of the annoying buyers then you do the same thing you dislike.
If I have a question I ask it through messaging nicely the first time, a little more blunt 2nd time and then all out answer my question if you want me to bid etc.
Not to be rude Fan but you seem to have a ton of trouble with all aspects of running a business. I think it is time to step back and re-evaluate your business model.
