I list Thursday nights for a 3 day duration so that my listings end on Sunday night. I stopped running auctions as the fee's just add up. I can list bin listings for .20 and do this 3 times in the week so that my listings appear in the front/back so to say constantly and for .60 compared to the $5.00 it would normally cost me.

Usually morning and night time, and more on the weekends.

Default Totally depends

It depends on the items IMO. If you have a mass produced retail item, Why have it end at 7PM on a Sunday when 100 other people do. Unique collectibles are best to go when viewers are at their peak. Which still is sunday.

Also Sunday has so many sellers watching their stuff sell, and they/we are buying at the same time!!!

Childrens items I like having end after school hours.

Business items I like to have end during lunch break or just after lunch on friday when there are 20 million people forced to sit at a desk for 2-3 more hours, pretending to work while daydreaming about the weekend.

In the office, many MANY people are sitting in front of their computers at work doing personal stuff. Don't count them out.

So other than what common sense tells you about sunday, I like Friday afternoons, between 10am and 4pm if the items are not unique and are business or tech related.

In my 14 years of selling on Ebay I try to start all my auctions on Monday between 8-10PM and run them for 5 days so they end on Saturday night...

I like to sell women's stuff between 10-1pm, during the "lunch" break. For the manly things, I get the best prices right after work around 4-5pm. So I have it end between 4-6pm.

But sometimes I like to sell some women's things right after work hours. That last minute shopping from the guy.

I rarely sell any kids stuff but when I do, right after school hours is best for me.

Oh, and I try not to end auctions when big time TV shows are running, like American Idol, Football events (or any sport events), usually nay show that has huge ratings.

In other words, "you gotta know the time to get max. profits".

It all depends on the item your selling. If it is an item for a college kid think about it when hes free most of his time. If its for a parent or someone older think about when they would be free. After work, and after they get everything done and have some free time. All depends on the item. I used to pay attention to this a lot. But now i try to move volume instead of making the most profit from an item.

I have 200 auctions running from 10AM-10PM every day and tend to get higher bids on Friday night.

Haha, me too. Only use auctions for limits these days. Prefer BIN's with Make an Offer...
