Paypal asking for my ss number ?

My stealth account is limited to 10,000 of which i already used around half of it . Is there a way to lift this limit to send money without giving them a ss number which they are already asking for ? Or is this account dead after my limit is used up ?

Verify it with a bank account and the limit will go away.
