Default How does neg feedback affect 21 day hold

Hi All

One of my fledgling stealth EP/PP is developing nicely, and is still under the 21 day payment hold.

However, one buyer left a glowing positive feedback comment but accidentally clicked the negative button so big red negative for me. It was really obvious he made a mistake. I informed him and sent him a feedback revision request, and right away he changed it to positive. Phew!

But this item is still under the 21 day hold. PP have not released the money yet and it is almost a week gone. They always release it right away when the buyer leaves positive feedback. Tracking info is submitted.

I am cool to wait the 21 days. However, on this occassion I am concerned that since this item was marked initially as negative feedback then EB's warning system has now been flagged and they will tell PP not to release the funds?

Again, I am not so worried about not getting the funds (even though it is £50) I more concerned this will activate an undesirable response from PP, perhaps restricting my account and requesting docs etc. Would like to avoid if poss!

Does anyone have experience with this situation? I wonder if I should intercept, write an email to EB explaining the circumstances and request they authorize the release (before the 21 days is up and all hell breaks loose)?

Your ideas would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

if you posted it with tracking , email PP the transaction id and tracking information assosiated with the transaction and they will release the funds straight away, well once they read your email.

As I recall they release the funds 3 days after delivery.

no, its 3 days after you have actually sent the item if you have tracking and as the OP states it was almost a week after they sent the item when they made the post

It does not have had to be delivered, i only speak for the u.k sellers though.

Hi Tizwoz, followed your advice, sent a nice email to PP with tracking number and item number...funds were released within a few hours.
