Default Questions about listing on newish account

I've had my eBay account since early 2009, with less than 15 feedback. My account was really just used for buying. I've now started selling, my first item was a camera valued at ~£150. I'm just worried that if i continue selling these say for e.g. (5-10 of them) my eBay account will get suspended.

How likely is this scenario? And also if asked for supplier proof, i wouldn't have this handy as they're drop shipped. So what are the possible solutions? if there's a problem in the first place that is.

(I can send them a scan of the receipt but i don't think that's really feasible for selling at least 5-10 of them is it)

Thanks

1st question - has the sale gone through well, no issues?

2nd question - your cameras are high risk? knock-offs? or genuine?

Dropshipping is always dangerous - customers tend not to like that

An item of that value could see any account being limited. Selling more of them increases the chances.

Drop-shipping is frowned upon by ebay especially if not done correctly.

tbf, you would need invoice proof quickly if asked.

rsot, the sale went through well and the camera's are genuine.

Greenbean, what sort of limitation are we talking? Also, by showing them invoices what would the result be the majority of the time?

Also a question to both of you, what amount is considered less riskier than ~£150, where they're likely not to request proof of supplier?

Thanks

If you use paypal, you have to expect to be asked at some point for info.

There is no ball park figure for amounts either.

One point you must keep in mind is your own account may be fine but your buyer has issues. paypal/ebay may take action against you as well.

In terms of eBay verifying the supplier invoices, to what degree are they scrutinised? company numbers looked up, suppliers contacted and common sense on their part used?

You will have to approach sales slowly - dont withdraw too quickly - like GB stated, there are other factors too like the types of buyers you get.

Nothing is 100% with pp - you will have to experiment and see what works

ebay does not do common sense.

You heard about the life of Brian?

that's how ebay lives.

According to its own quirky rules.

Depending on the variables within the limitation, a full check of invoices may be done. Or a passing glance happens.

As a seller, and may I add a new one, you must prepare your invoices to pass whatever ebay might want. 2nd guessing kills accounts.

Emphasize on the "full" check, I'm currently using this account reg'd 2009 (non stealth), would you advise to just start off fully with a stealth account instead and keep this one clean?

This is a nonstealth account...in your name...so that your name does not go on the banned list, best to keep this clean. Time for stealth

Response depends on your own plans.

Either way you are going to be 'new'.

One of you is the real new you and you could then be a stealth new you.

Either lot of accounts will have hurdles to face with ebay/paypal
