 New ebay "decade long witch hunt"
Hi, newbie to the board here,
First, I am so glad I found this place and bought the Stealth E-book!
TEN years ago there was an account opened and my paypal acct. used by an X family member who asked if they could borrow my computer and use while I was at work (I was not even using ebay to sell at the time and had no idea how that part worked. Just bought stuff). Cut to the chase...he never paid his seller fees and created over 6 accounts.
I started using ebay (sounds like I am at a "meeting") in 2009 and just now had my accounts limited. Talked with ebay..got shuffled to paypal...same lame, inept support. Then on my last call to ebay a guy told me that ebay really frowns upon trying to "elude" bad accounts and even though I told them I would happily pay the fees to get my accounts back...he said def. no, in fact I was (wait for it)---Banned For Life! No chance to explain, just done. Seemed strange that it took them so long to link a ten year old account to me. Never received anything in the mail or otherwise. Even though they would not tell me what information was in the accounts that were banned, I suspect my loving relative used my information, otherwise how could they have linked? Maybe via PP? Who knows?
It boggles the mind. Good seller bring them in 100s per month, struggling to be nice to even the crabbiest customers so ebay never has to get involved. Going along with that insane 14 day return, 1 day ship policy and- DONE!
