how you track First Class Package Intl Service - Package/Thick Envelope

i have a customer order in canada i choose First Class Package Intl Service - Package/Thick Envelope but it does not give me a tracking number how can i show proof of mailing

You can not have proof without tracking or return reciept

so i would have to purchase that seperately from the First Class Package Intl Service id that possible when purchasing postage in ebay

hmmmm my question was domestic first class mail come with free tracking number
is first class internatoional mail trackable in anyway when purchase shipping label on ebay

For international 1st class you will get a "customs barcode number",
which, when scanned will give you a confirmation to the last point in the United States before it departs.

Just like "slim jim says "You can not have proof without return receipt.

If you send international via priority, then you will get a tracking number.

With the new 1st class international shipping you can now have tracking all the way to delivery.

The regular first class will not give you a tracking number - did you print your label from eBay? Did you have to scan it at the postal desk or just dropped it off?

You should use a program like stamps.com. before you print the label it shows you whether or not you will get a tracking #

The only country to which USPS offers delivery confirmation on first class package mail is Canada. They said they would bring delivery confirmation to a bunch of additional countries by April but April is almost over and I have not heard any news from them yet. The delivery confirmation should be free with first class package mail.

Note: The delivery confirmation is only available for First Class Package Mail not for First Class Flat Mail.

For all other international mail, you will receive a customs form number which doubles as a tracking number but it will only show updates up until it leaves the USA. You will not get delivery confirmation.

ok thanks for this info. I only deliver to Canada so had no idea about this.

Hi,
With the customs barcode/number you can track it using canadapost.com

I just found out about it and if a buyer claims they havent received it and canadapost says it was delivered im going to use it in a claim.

Yes it will show up on the Canada Post website.
