It sounds like you got the General Purpose Reloadable (GPR) debit card. Those cards ask for your SSN & address because its considered a bank account, which requires you to register.

You can call the number on the back of the card and try to activate it over the phone w/o a SSN or you can try to return it for the Vanilla Visa card.

Yea & just clicked on the Stealth Book link for Visa Vanilla gift card ...... Lol I would do something like that. Well I will try to call & register if it don't work I can always use it for my sole ebay fee purpose on my real account. @ jeffweico still in early stages haven't did accounts for them yet. @ Dmshark25 I did but it's the one An0nym0u$ is talking about.

Since the silver can be used as bank account - still usable for other purposes

I've purchased them at Ralphs, Albertsons, some CVS. They also come in Visa flavored.

That's correct, the vanilla visa gift cards come in various colors.

Here is the link that Dmshark25 was referring to this page that explains the differences between the cards Vanilla Visa offers.

https://www.onevanilla.com/onevanill...tMJjzXOS8RXxed

The black one on the far right Dmshark25 mentions is the bank card.

So you need the silver one that says "Gift" on it I assume? Will that card lift withdrawl limits, or do I need the debit card? Thanks!

Yes the silver one, yes it will lift the withdrawal limits.
