Folks, thanks for reading this. I have been reading this site for a while and have purchased and read the old version of eb stealth from a couple years ago. My situation is as follows.
I had an account from 2007 which is still up and running. I created a stealth account two years ago, which just got suspended 'indefinitely' for low dsr's. My DSRs were around the 4.8-4.9 mark, with 99%+ fb. Needless to say I was disappointed when this occurred. But...
When I created the stealth account, I began listing most of my items on that account in order to improve the DSRs on my old account. Therefore most of my saved inventory for the most recent items I want to sell, is located on my Turbo Lister backup files (.tlb files) on my other computer that I used with my stealth account.
Now that the stealth account is closed, I want to have access to the listings that I saved from that account in order to modify them according to the
stealth guide (new pictures, new descriptions, new titles, new prices, etc.) and begin relisting them on my existing account.
I am afraid of getting linked because I wouldn't be surprised if there is metadata associated with the .tlb file such that importing them into my TL program that I use exclusively with my existing account would cause a link. I have not saved any of the information as a .csv file. I am wondering how to do this. I am capable with ms excel and if there's a way to export a .tlb file to a .csv file and bring it into excel in order to locate and modify or delete all metadata, I would be able to do this.
Alternatively if anyone knows of another way to get access to the old data please post it up. Having read the old
stealth guide, I am assuming that it's still true that once you're suspended, there's no point in ever logging or attempting to log into the old account ever again. I would assume the same would be true for TL--there's no point in trying to open up my stealth TL account because the first thing it would try to do is to verify your seller account on eB and then possibly 'corrupt' the .tlb file. Am I wrong on that?
Other questions: can you open up a .tlb file while offline (i.e. not connected to the internet, and no connecting to eB in order to authenticate)? If so, I would think it would be possible to open up the .tlb file and export everything to .csv file, or at least to manually cut and paste all the data into a spreadsheet
Anyone whose got any answers to the above would be appreciated. Thanks!
