I don't really think it matters, but you want to present yourself to eBay as if you were a first time visitor. So buy a few things in the first 30 days and then you can switch to a sellers account and start selling slowly.

I have a 10 month old account with 300+ feedback and it still takes 6 hours for listings to show up.

That is the normal wait time to make it through the eBay que line.
Sometimes my listings make it in 5 minutes...
Last night they took 7 hours on a 450+ Feedback at 99.9% Powerseller account.

You know what's funny, the brand name ⊗⊗⊗⊗ appear instantly and the non- brand name items take 6 hours. It's been like that for about 2 months now.

Not really, to be honest I don't sell any "look-alike" counterfeits anymore. They're all with brand name, but I learned to stick to the good copies only, so now I don't even have them removed by eBay anymore because the trademark holder can't tell it apart anymore. No auctions removed for 3 months and no negative feedback from any buyers about the products.

I do sell a few hand-crafted items from Japan as well, just for fun and for a change. Those are the ones that take 6 hours to show up. The counterfeits show up right away.

Don't worry about Modee. He is just trying to pick a fight with you. He does that a lot with people.

imjustme just scratched the surface with his comments. I know for a fact there are factories in china and japan whose products are so well done that not even the retail store sales people can tell the difference between the real and copy, and they are refining their techniques for a better product more and more each day.

When you make an account don't just sit 30 days. Go and bid on something you know is way underpriced, has many days remaining, and know you'll get outbid. You need to do that. Randomly eBay will make you do a credit card before you can even finish registering at all, randomly not. Randomly, they will make the account so it can't bid without a credit card. If the account got their random limit so it can't even bid without a credit card on it, then it's likely to be one of the ones that get the random abusing ebay suspension the first time it tries to sell anything.

yeah i got some pre 11/07 accounts stored back as we speak i figerd i used them if worse comes to worse also got a account thats about 4 years old never been used i dont know if i should keep it or sale it.

ebay accounts are like wine they get better over age and worth more.

Also i noticed some times i list items they show up instant other times they dont and some accounts post instant others dont and i sale the same kinda items so im thinking some times it is random
