~Llloyds bank problem with PP?

So I got a new Lloyds bank account.

Set up PP for the deposit. Got the deposit sent.

just went into Lloyds online to find the 4 digit code. IT looks like PP have sent some money there, i have balance of 1p but i cannot see details of the transaction and i get this message...

'Sorry, but we can't show you some recent transactions as your name wasn't on the account when these transactions were processed.'

Any ideas?

Yes because Lloyds isnt recommened bank on this forum, need to read around. Lloyds and TSB need to be avoided

The code will only show if the bank account has been opened for more than 24-48 hours.

Lloyds isnt a good option for stealth but that is the standard message you will get on all newly created bank account statements.

can you not phone them and ask for the code?

Just say you would rather not be giving your real data to these companies you are dealing with.

What? And feed a bank any info like that about your business? Account will get flagged.

he never mentioned business account and people still don't trust the net, especially with stories like ebay are giving away your info.

I don't know, I think it is a perfect time to pull that one off.

But never tried it, as I avoided lloyds, so skip the last part and just ask them if they can give you the code.

'business' meant letting a bank know anything about yourself as a customer.

Always try to keep your privacy with banks but stay within the regulations

I have had this before.

You have to wait a couple of days then check the bank account.

It happened because you opened the account and deposited the paypal thing too quick and the bank account did not have a chance to open up proper.

So I recommend to wait a few days and then check you account yourself, no need to ring anyone.

Yes i have read that it happens when the account has been opened same day.

I will wait till tomorrow.

But do you guys suggest i do not use LLoyds then??

Some say use it, most say no.

Personally, I use them for a few years now with no problems at all.

A lot of the posts indicate that better options are there than Lloyd's

there are many banks that can be used.

LLoyds has a poor reputation and has caused hassles.

Choose wisely.

ok, well i have registered the bank to the account now, ill stick with it, but maybe add a different bank in the future to that one.

dont wana be messing too much with it and waste the account.

I beg to differ on lloyds. The reason you get that message is you probably have just opened the savings account. Give it a few days the code will appear. Lloyds for me is just as good as any. I havent had any probs with.

I await for you to come back on here and post that your account has been flagged, its been banned and your money has been held upon further investigation. Once that happens I will post 'I TOLD YOU SO..'

Not sure how many times it needs to be posted on the forum, the same questions, LLOYDS IS NOT WISE!! You will find out the hard way.

I have to say that my 9 Lloyds accounts have been fine for over 3 years now and I have been using them hard for all those years.

If Lloyds don't work for you, don't worry, just add a different bank to withdraw to and carry on.

The best way is to do a few tests and find out for yourself.

I just realised after i've set a new paypal account that there could be problems with Lloyds? My new paypal account is in the same name as my Bank Account should it be ok ?

If the name on your paypal account is the same as the name on your bank account then you won't have any issues.
