Default Pictures when drop shipping

I understand when posting a sale or auction; that you should clear your photos of metadata, but if you were primarily drop shipping items then how would this go?

Are these things to worry about
* Do we have to worry about getting photos, although we dont have stock physically

*Are uploading pictures even necessary

I know that eBay REQUIRES a picture of each item. Unless it is already in their catalog and you are selling a brand new stock item, like a DVD.

Without pictures, your items would not likely sell. People want to see what it is they are getting.

And be careful with drop-shipping in general. eBay allows it, but frowns upon it. To succeed, you need a trustworthy supplier and they must be able to provide you with tracking numbers within 24 hours of your customer placing the order. That means, you MUST get the order to the drop-shipper as quickly as possible.

Also, you must be ready to handle any complaints or returns. You CANNOT tell your customer to go call your drop-shipper. YOU are responsible for making sure that everything goes right. I mention this, because newbies think they can make a fortune drop-shipping on eBay. Then, a customer has a problem and the newbie does not want to be responsible for anything. They don't want to give a refund because it means they lose money. They don't want to be bothered by their customer, somehow they feel their customer should deal with the drop-shipper. This is why eBay frowns upon drop-shipping. Because it almost never works out unless the person has experience with online sales and has the resources to cover any refunds that come up.

Thanks for the info, so basically if I were listing new, unused items that DID happen to be cataloged on their site already, I'd be okay selling said item without having to post any photo's or anything?

It depends on the item. If eBay requires a picture, it will tell you when you are listing the item. You might want to ask your supplier if they have photos you can use. Many suppliers are happy to let you use theirs.

Look over the category you have choosen to sell.

You should find very few listings without photos.

Take steps to list to appear a new you.

Tailor your images to look different.

Good Luck
