How does people open more account with Bank of America?

I've found posts like this: http://www.aspkin.com/forums/623373-post2.html yet when my friend went to the bank to open a new account (he already has one account linked to his paypal) they didn't allow him to open a checking account, but only the saving one.

So what does people from here actually say to the bank reps in order to get more than one account?

I open all my accounts online. I think I have 4 savings and 4 checkings. I don't think I've ever been inside a BOA before haha.

Nice, so if he does that online they won't make any problems? He needs to open another checking one for me.

While you using your friend's account is worrisome (as a side note), he should be able to open new accounts online...make sure he has online access

Your friend might have some credit issues that BOA wont let him open a checking account. Or he might have some back history and his name is on checksystems.

He already has one checking account with them (linked his own paypal) and had no problems, but for some reason, they didn't allow him to open another one.

I never knew their was an online option to close accounts. I need to look into that
