Advice? Neg FB Int'l Buyer Falsify Customs Docs

Hey fellow stealther's....

So, I have a somewhat new stealth account. I've sold about 70 items but only have 30(some) feedback. All were positive up until yesterday!

Some guy from Brazil purchased an item from me for $75.00. After the sale, he proceeds to email me several times asking me to forge the customs doc's so he wouldn't get hit with paying custom's fee's.

I kindly told him that I could not do that and it was not only against ebay's policies but also against the usps policy. I told him we could cancel the sale.

In the meantime I reported the seller, not that I believe that does a darn thing. Ebay states that the buyer isn't even informed when they are reported and the seller (me) will never know the outcome of the buyer being reported.

So, I send over the official "cancel" form to the buyer. He agree's and cancels and then proceeds to leave me a negative feedback. No biggie but when you only have 30 some fb; it lowered me from 100% to 97.2% rating! All my dsr's are all perfect still.

Now I so desperately want to call ebay to have the negative removed and I know they would and I have every ground to do so. He sent all his messages via ebay's message system so they can see all his demands and the outcome of me saying no. I'm scared to death to call in since this is a stealth account that has been going good.

I'm so bummed because I was waiting for my next selling limits to be raised and this one jerk has probably messed that up for me.

My question is; should I go ahead and call? I would think they wouldn't ask me too many personal questions since I'm only calling to have fb removed??? I'm I being stupid? Should I just leave it alone? It pisses me off!

I could use a google voice phone # for the the state my stealth was created in, correct? I have all my stealth info in front of me but I'm afraid they might ask something I'm not thinking of???

Dear goodness...what a horrible predicament to be in.
Am i correct that the US doesnt have the live chat function. Its just that if you did, id probably go down that route.

See what others say.
Thats why i feel for you because i dont know myself what id do.
Part of me says...leave it and move on, saving your account.
But then the other part of me says thats its the low dsr from this transaction which could see you in trouble anyway, so to hell with it, ring them.

Definately going to.follow this thread as would be very interested in other peoples responses :-)

Yes, you are correct "NO LIVE CHAT" in the US.... :( Totally sucks! I've searched high and low looking for a link somewhere that would send me to a place to email or live chat instead of called but ebay has changed all US to calling in only! Total bummer... Thank you for responding... I'm trying to not let this guy drive me nuts but it's all that's on my mind! I should have just broken the rules and falsified custom doc's, why not I'm falsifying ebay/PP with stealth, right!!! LOL... Thanks for your response! Have a nice day and take care!

That would be soooooooooooooooooooooo nice if they brought it back!

I think people were abusing it. Kept cussing out the Ebay reps.

That happened about 3 years ago.

They dont want it as it is of no use to them.

their staff were agreeing to stuff that overall the higher powers did not want.

So when, the account got into trouble again, they got put in a corner when ( some of us) emailed the transcript of LIVE CHAT....
solution: kill live chat.


They would have to feed more bananas to the monkies if it came back.

I for one would leave the issue alone OP; the account will live to sell another day.

Don't risk that account.

There is a live chat function but they reserve it for new accounts.

I would advise against talking to ebay but if you must there is a function.
