Amex card no longer accepted/processed by paypal/ebay

Wondering if any one else out there has noticed recently that their AMEX cards are no longer processing for payments ? I've not had any issues paying with them up till now.

I'm getting the card process denied by card issuer error message when trying to pay. The funds are certainly on the card for the amount i need to pay.

Anyone else ?

just a regular Amex gift card

giftcards, have no experience with those but regular amex cards works fine. used my few hours ago
