Ebay/PayPal now operating separately from each other, what does this mean for us?

Can someone break down what this means for us, by that I mean as sellers rather then stealthers? Any positives or negatives?

Nothing will happen immediately. In fact, they have an operating agreement in place that lasts for 5 years. Anything new will come over time. But I wouldn't expect any major changes. And any changes that affect one may very well affect both.

eBay, while it will be free to add any payment processors they choose, cannot start their own payment service for 5 years. And PayPal has agreed to not make any changes in the next 5 years that would adversely affect eBay's users.

I would be more worried about the changes that may take place after the 5 year window has passed.
