Confirm Identify & 21-Day Hold

On my stealth account, I am at day #92 and surpassed way more than $250 in sales but I still have the 21-day hold. I noticed that there is a confirm identify button on the Pending Balance page and I was wondering what method is required. Is this safe especially for a stealth account? My account is verified through with bank and credit card attached, $500 limit removed. I have met all targets and I thought the hold was supposed to be removed automatically, but I guess not.

What is missing here and is the confirm identity part safe, especially for a stealth?

That hold is not removed automatically and it is hard to predict when it will be removed. Paypal is mysterious that way.
I would recommend against trying to do the identity verification since this is a stealth account and they might try to dig up info from public databases about the owner of the account - and since this is a made up persona they wont find anything which might land you in trouble.

How many Sales do you have?

Were you sales from eBay or from outside? Paypal likes to see history of sales from eBay with tracking information.

Sales were all outside of ebay. I have had at least 30+ sales since April.

You need to verify your identity by phone verification...

Just phone verification? I have bought my account from a seller and hope they have access to the number.

Outside sales will take longer for them to lift 21day hold. eBay sales with tracking, they will lift 21day holds after 90day mark.

I just found out that the seller of my account does not keep the numbers active, so I guess im stuck forever with the 21-day hold

You should have gotten the number along with your account. If ANYTHING goes wrong and you need to call them or vice versa, you NEED the phone number listed on the account or you will be jumping through a lot of hoops.

They did provide a phone number with the account, but its useless since its not active.

I also thought that you should not call in Paypal especially when trying to get something done with a stealth account.

I call ebay and paypal all the time for various issues...never had a problem. A lot of people are scared to call them because they don't have any of the public record information and blah blah. Have you ever been asked such questions on a whim for your LEGIT account? I treat stealth accounts as if they are my own legit account. If they ask something you don't know, then get crafty with your responses. I've never encountered anything that I couldn't answer...doesn't mean I WON'T, but I haven't.

I called in one time when I was not able to add a bank account and they did go into the database and try to come up with public record questions ,,because I did not have the original number

You can, but when your account needs verification through your phone, they usually will not accept the new number, unless that number is found in public records matching the name and address of your paypal account

So for a stealth account that is a problem, because chances are you will not have a phone number matching the name and address of the stealth account

But the number used when u create the account is accepted for verification purposes,if u need it in the future and lately ut has been the norm

So keeping the number used when creating an account is now a must if u want to avoid potential problems with paypal

On the 21-day hold progress page, it says in order to remove the hold, I need to complete the targets AND confirm identity. Was this just my account or its normal. I have had 2 buyer disputes in the past (due to impatient buyers, quickly resolved) and could this have added the confirm identity button?

Phone verification is not a big deal let the account sit that should vanish, i think the 90day hold is for ebay users that may be the cause.

I've got accounts that the limits were removed after 60 days maybe? Other accounts with better numbers have gone over 90 day mark.
I'm not in a hurry and I don't mind, but just goes to show that sometimes these tings are not same across the board.

No need to worry, just keep doing what you do.
