Havent seen this before, is this a keeper of a glitch?
New withdrawal system on PayPal says
0-3 days depending on your bank?
Is it a BACS glitch so they have turned to CHAPS or the way things will be?

0-3 days depending on the bank is right
Nearly all banks are on the faster payment system but some are not. The 3 day part of this would only effect the banks not on the faster payment system (the post office is one example when I last checked 18 months ago)

PayPal are just updating by the sounds of it
There was a large about 2 weeks ago as well
A lot of people used to see the 72 hours message when withdrawing, then click back and try again until they got 24 hour / 2 hour message. This would stop that (although its a total guess on my part that that has anything to do with it)

Yes this is completely different than the 72 hour window, new interface as well.
I remember the click back trick, thankfully Ive never had a 72 hour window since, however this one is different - have you withdrew from PayPal recently James - might be worth a look as its different that what you are talking about - thats old stuff!

I understand that bud.
I am saying that this new interface would stop people trying that trick since everyone is now getting the same 0-3 day message instead

They seem to put this new system in when they have some problems, I had it last night also. It was around a few weeks ago also. It does revert back to the original system after a day or two though.

Should of waited to withdraw as it may of gone through as a BACS 3 day payment now, grrr. Always a lovely morning waking to see what they have thrown at us

The 3 day part of this would only effect the banks not on the faster payment system (the post office is one example when I last checked 18 months ago) | The Post Office ( /Bank of Ireland)` is on the faster payments system but is a bit of a weird one, it is one of the accounts I withdrew to last night and this morning. They have almost a mixed system.
It isn't as instant as some banks, it takes 2 -4 hours to show in your account. The snag is though it will only show during working hours Mon-Fri 9-5. So if I withdrawal now from paypal it will be in my P.O saver between 2pm and 4pm. The payment I took out around midnight last night is only just in the saver now.
Likewise if I withdrawal from a P.O saver to my nominated account it has to be between Mon-Fri 9-5pm to be there for the next morning. If I was to withdrawal 7p.m on A Saturday night, it wouldn't get there until Tuesday morning.
Coventry is similar, withdrawals from Paypal take 2-4 hours to show BUT these show all around the clock. So a 11p.m Friday night withdrawal from paypal would show in the Coventry account around 1a.m-3a.m Saturday morning. Withdrawals from your nominated account can actually take longer than with the Post Office. If I was to withdrawal at 4p.m Monday it only actually gets released between 9-10a.m the Tuesday morning, so wouldn't clear until between 11.am and 2.pm the next day. The solution to this though is just open up the saver with the cash point card so you can enjoy instant inter-account transfers, and it lets you take out up to £500 a day from an atm.

The email will tell you the time frame, mine last night said the 2 hours.

Some of the prepaid accounts that you can attach to PayPal are not instant, a couple are but some it's a 72 hour process.
Majority of the large UK banks are on FPS

Just to show how bizarre and random paypal can be I have just withdrawn for first time ever on a stealth, old style window and 2 hr withdrawal. Yet this would be when I would most expect the 72hours.
