Stolen Account

First time ever In my life , my stealth was stolen this morning...

Took me ages to reinstate.... Still cant believe It was stolen and why it was...

What can they do once stolen.

...
My pc was looged in automatically and I suddenly noticed that ebay Id I changed 2 weeks ago was changed to something else .... Logged out to fined out that email address user Id was all changed.... So could not log in could not change password cause it was already changed....
I was left out....

phoned customer service to get it reinstated....

still wondering

how could someone get in... I am the only one using the pc .....

Customer service said do not use "stay logged in" ... that may be the reason

Any suggestions ? any chance of being via inkfrog?

Was this an account you purchased or made yourself?

Have you checked your PC for spyware?

If it's a purchased account you should cehck with your seller. Just to make sure they have nothing to do with it.

Ebay accounts get hacked all the time though. You may have clicked a rogue email or something similar.

Did you change access passwords and recovery address when the account was handed to you?

wow .. really glad you got that back. Ebay support isnt always that helpful lol..

If you changed the user id 2 weeks ago.. how was it possible for the 'hacker' to change it to something else?

Do you share your computer with other people in your household?

I am the only one using it.... New user name a massive surprise.... very strange...

you can only change a username once every 30 days

You would be best off PMing who ever sold you the account and checking your device over for skyware and any strange looking programs that you did not install
