Activity: 0% Longevity: 91% | | Arrgg!! Ebay limited listings auctions help
I have almost 100 fb, and its been 90 days since I got the new account. My account is still limited from listing some brand names. They still want me to wait to get it lifted. Another 90 days. 120 days total now. I have NO complaints. My DSR is PERFECT. The only thing i did was listed a description from a website.
They kept on saying, i signed up as a "seller" account. So should i start buying? this is a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ account i cant use it to buy.
Does anyone know why? How many fb will i need to get it lifted. Im thinking that it may be bc i've been deleting their security flash cookies every night.
Any ideas? Im getting desperate, ive waited so long already | |
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Why not follow the steps in eBay Stealth, and start a new account? Easy easy..
And keep your flash objects up.. it's not good to delete them.
Good luck,

Follow aspkin's advice. I'll add another couple, never do a description from a website, make the listing in your own words. The ebay bots are set up to detect web-words. If you must list brand names then have a receipt to prove they are authentic. Or sell another item.

Yes, make separate users accounts and keep the flash cookies for each account. What was the actual notice from ebay? Although you think you have done nothing wrong, they do not.

They obviously think the items are ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Ive had a few listings removed for copying website descriptions and other peoples images (being lazy) but its usually no big deal, just change things around a little and alter the pictures and I relist it.
I did get a similar thing happen to me where they told me I couldnt list a certain brand for 30 days because it was risky, although I had 200 fb all positive.

That 90 days they tell you to wait is bunch of BULL! It's just another Ebay tactic to stop you from contacting them every day of the week so they don't get flooded with Emails. My one account that had some violations for digital copyright stuff is over a year old now still is limited in a certain category regardless of the requests made to get it lifted. Read my horror story Thread for more info. I think they will hold the violations against you for life. The best way is to start a new account with a clean slate. No Violations is a must on the new account otherwise risk being in the same situation you are in now.
Hope this helps.

heres the email:
Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your further concerns.
You’re able to list items, but you’re still restricted in certain
categories.
You should continue to build a positive selling history on eBay and
visit your seller dashboard to see your progress, view your buyer’s
satisfaction level, and keep your account in good standing.
Sellers with a good track record may be eligible to have their account
restrictions modified. We take positive feedback, selling history and
activity, feedback, PayPal verification, policy compliance, and account
standing into consideration.
Feedback's a big part of your selling history and is considered when
raising your limits, but there are other factors as well.
We encourage you to continue to build a positive history selling these
items on eBay. After 90 days, we'll be happy to review your account
again.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Alfonse

i used to get the same problem a long time ago
it is usually some word you have put in the title that is the problem like a brand name if you delete the brand name and press continue it will not give you the error

If you have more than one user account in windows, it will save the flash cookie to each user account. Thus you are able to safely keep your flash cookies.

Would it make a difference if i start buying stuff, they keep on saying "its a seller ac****, its a seller account its a seller account" on every email. i cant use it to purchase anything and i dont think i want to email someone to send it to another address.

Activity: 0% Longevity: 96% | | Going to shot straight from the hip here. What will make a difference is if YOU calm down. Over-reacting will see you lose the account. I do not recommend 'harassaing ebay just because you want to sell. I agree with you that buying might not be such a bright idea. Look at this post by Orion Change the listing completely, change image, choose a different category, relist
or this by our own ebay i used to get the same problem a long time ago it is usually some word you have put in the title that is the problem like a brand name if you delete the brand name and press continue it will not give you the error
these are methods to try. Do a revision of the Stealth Book as well. Think of making new accounts. Enough of the moaning

OK, just that on here you sound annoyed & implied you had been agro with ebay. That is an ebay trick to feed BS to you. So, maybe more kindly from me, try what has been suggested. You may have a solution

Does it matter if this is a seller account or not, thats what im wondering.
"Because your account was recently registered as a selling account,
certain restrictions apply. After you have built up additional positive
selling history, please contact us so we can review your account and
consider raising your selling limits."

I dont get deleting the brand name, how will you sell item if the brand name doesnt shown we all know they get the hits and generic get zero.
Also why do flash cookies matter, in terms of listing limitations? Does it make you more trustworthy?
