1/ Which major bank does uaccount bank through?

EDIT:
OK, found they bank thru Barclays

"The money paid in to your U Account is held in a Barclays account operated by Wirecard Card Solutions. Wirecard Card Solutions is authorised and regulated by the FCA under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011. "

2/ Can you deposit cheques into the account?

EDIT:
"No, we don't have the facility to pay cheques into a U Account."

Doubt the password issue is down to where you live.

I had that same problem, it kept saying something like password cannot be where I live so I just closed the page then opened it up again in another window and filled the details in again and it worked fine

What you'll find is most of these... i'll call them e-banks... they need a backbone - a high street bank.

In U-Accounts case, its Barclays. So its important you treat these "e-banks" like actual banks.

Quote:
U is authorised and regulated by the FCA as a credit broker. The money paid in to your U Account is held in a Barclays account operated by Wirecard Card Solutions. Wirecard Card Solutions is authorised and regulated by the FCA under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011. The account is protected, which means it's used only to serve U Accounts and isn't subject to claims from creditors in the unlikely event U or Wirecard Card Solutions become insolvent. Your money is at risk only in the unlikely event that Barclays become insolvent.

Hi, guys.

Can somebody answer some my questions?

How did you activate your card? What info was requested? Last 4 digits of the card or some more?

What does the card look like? Does it have any www, phones, addresses?

Thank you.

Yes. If you know what you are doing there should be no problems.

Click profile, then at the top left hand corner click limits

Had an account with these guys for like 3 months now but never really used it, thought i would try it out, withdrew £3,500 only to find out that my limit transaction limit is £3,250, they really could make it alot clearer, i have emailed them to see if they can split the payment up or whatever but annoying none the less.

Just a warning but be careful with these guys, like i said in my previous post i had withdrawed 3,500 when my limit was 3,250 which they fail to mention when you sign up and i only noticed there was even a limit due to this thread

They dont have a phone number to call, only online chat which i waited for 45 minutes in a que to eventually talk to somone, told that the payment bounced which is fine then told my account has been restricted and i can no longer use the online chat and from now on can only use their secure messaging service on the website

been waiting 3 hours for someone to reply and nothing, just a heads up, the customer service is almost non-existant
