Default Choose ip?

Is there a way to choose an ip address from my provider?

There are several different ip addresses that come up that I use for specific accounts but it takes ages to get them to come up after restarting router over and over, sometimes it can take a few hours to get the ip address that I want.

If there was a way I could make them come up it would make life a lot easier! :(

hmm... If I gather correctly, you want to use the same IP for specific accounts and you have a dynamic IP service (i.e. your IP changes each time) from your internet service provider?

If so - that would be very tedious.

You should either a) get a Fresh IP for each account or b) keep a log of your IPs when using each account, just making sure IPs don't overlap between accounts.

Totally unnecessary. Take it from someone who's been using stealth accounts for a fair few years now.

just wondering how many digits need to be different for example 192.168.187.54 how many of these digits need to be different from the last time an account logged in, would I get away with 192.168.187.50?

if your router seperate from your modem ? if it is enter "whats my ip address and record the answer"log onto the router and change the mac address of the router by say just one digit using a 0 to 9 or A to F then save it. reboot the modem and it will see the different mac address on the router and issue a different ip address. chck the ip address has changed again by entering whats my ip address in google
If the modem and router are combine chances are you cannot change the mac address.

Yea I know how to look up my ip, I'm asking how many digits need to be different when logging into another account i.e 192.168.193.98 then logging into another account with ip 192.168.193.90 would that get me suspended for the ip addresses being so similar?

Yes as stated earlier that's your local IP within your network. Paypal would link your accounts. Regarding how many digits different it needs to be it matters not. As long as your public IP address differs then thats all that is required to keep the accounts separate. Number of digits different is irrelevant.

no I'm just using that as an example, i know 192.168.0.1 is for logging into router.
ok so if it was 176.25.70.14 and I changed it to 176.25.70.10 would the account be suspended?

Just a few digits is fine.

would 1 number change be enough or do you reckon the last 4 numbers for the example would be needed, i.e 176.25.70.10 to 176.25.81.23

I'm changing the number of my ip address so my accounts are not linked, as we asll know is necessary I just want to know how many of the digits need to be different? Is 1 number enough or should it be 2 3 4 or more, does anyone know the answer to this? How many digits need to be changed so as to not link accounts??

I change it by turning the router off, though these are not answering my question?! Is that because no one knows or is willing to share?!
Again how many of the digits need to be different when changing ip to log into a different account?! Example 176.25.54.63 used to log into one account would it be ok to log in to a different ebay account with 176.25.54.61 or would it need to be 176.25.54.39 or 176.25.51.39 or more numbers different?

First you need to have a dynamic IP (for easiest methods ).

For me, it is going to depend on how many accounts you intend to run.

None of my accounts run on a consectuative range of numbers.

Account creation and bring stealth means changing IP digits is never my choosen method.

I get a range.

PS, how are you Medway? All good?

i have a virgin media modem in modem only mode. i the use a separate router which allows me to edit the MAC address by changing the MAC address by 1 digit saving the changes and then rebooting the modem my isp issues a new ip address which i use for another id. when i want to change back to the previous id i simply edit the MAC address of the router to its previous MAC address. then reboot the modem and usually get the previous IP address. i gt the impression you were changing the local ip address abd wondered how this got a new ip from your ISP. each ebay id has a different mac address which i record together with the ip address issued. if you are changing the local ip address and the mac address of your router stays the same then i guess your IP address may not change ?

Theres a lot of false ideas floating around here. Ebay/paypal cannot see mac address unless you have them as applications. So if you use firefox/chrome etc they can't see mac address.

92.34.345.34 is completely different from 92.34.345.33

If your car reg plate is AU17ASD does it mean AU17ASE is the same car? no 1 could be on an audi and the other on a bmw

Simply using the same IP is not enough to get you limited. SOme households have 10 people in all with ebay accounts. Right at this moment 30-40 other homes could have the same IP as you. They probably have ebays too, Its not yours its shared.

We live in the mobile age. It used to be that changes in IP's to quickly trigger security on sites. Now they know using mobile devices your IP can change 10 times down 1 street.

Too much is put on IP, yes if you use a bad VPN proxy you'll get banned, but if your using Residential IP's not so much. Be careful but not paranoid

So what you're basically saying is I could get away with 1 digit being different, but what if I was to log into a different account straight away after using the previous account with only 1 digit difference in the ip, would that bring up a flag?

I'm selling pretty much the same stuff on each account, listed differently i.e photo and description.

Thanks in advance
