All these posts about printers and not a single response to the actual question "does ebay cover sellers for "tracked only"" i.e no signatures but gps tracked to the door like hermes does?

If you want to talk about printers start your own tread about them

Sorry to have overlooked your original question.

As e2free already answered, yes, you're covered.
Let me just add from recent personal experience that since the pandemic got serious, deliveries began to take longer. Right now, ours stands at 2 - 12 days for first class to deliver so we've adjusted all listings.

As regards 2D tracking, I'll estimate that up to 20% of ours are currently not delivering even after two weeks, so we've switched everything to signed for.

Just speculation but, I think that as RM is short-staffed, more posties are not scanning these 2D tracking - either that or loads are going missing.
On the other hand, signed-for is delivering successfully for some strange reason.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to give hermes and C+ a go see how they do. As you say RM are delayed but touch wood everything has arrived if a little late for me. Lots of post office closed and as a result the others are busy/limiting parcel numbers. thanks

Find a post office located in a convenience store. They are open the same hours as the store itself, so are open until late and on Sundays.

I might only send half a dozen RM these days so buy the postage label in ebay, and drop them in the post box. These are 2nd LL and seem to get there in 3 or 4 days. When I have used the RM customer service point, they have taken the packages and dropped them into the bag without scanning. The post offices do scan though and give a receipt.

Most of mine go Hermes and I drop them off myself. I get to take my parcels out the back and scan them myself! I have been using them for years and for the amount I send, I get very few problems and when I do, I claim and it gets paid out in about 3 weeks.

Collect+ used to use YODEL and they were rubbish at delivering. Took ages for customers to get the parcels. Booking direct with them, the parcels got there in a couple of days. They just damaged too many. Nowadays I only use them when booking with Send2China. Parcels only have to get to their place before changing carrier to get on its way to China.

It does not matter how or where you drop off locally. What matters is the current back log in your local mail centre (which is were all your drop-offs go to get sorted irrespective of how you posted it) and the back-log or lack of staffs at the destination's local delivery office which handles local distribution.

It has been said that is a recent photo of a mail centre taken by an RM employee.

I've worked at a large mail centre like the one below before it was taken out of commission, but it never got so congested even at the end of the year.
