Default Confused!!

Hey, I have a copy of the ebay stealth guide & can I say, best ebook I have ever bought!!

Anyways enough of the brown nosing haha

I was wondering if anyone could pm or post here where I can setup some online accounts?

So far, I have tried to setup a current account with Natwest but they are taking forever to send forms through post. I am ideally needing something I can setup online, without needing to go into branch as I am very busy at work, then kids etc etc.

If anyone knows of such services, would be appreciated.

Many Thanks..

Merry Xmas guys & hope u all have a gud new year.

Nearly all UK bank accounts can be applied for online. However, unless you are an existing account holder the process is slow as you have to send in ID to open the account.

If you google it, it will tell you where the banks are located. Theyre a new bank in the high street and also offer internet-banking. Yes ive been using them for ppal for some months now and they give you the card/account number/sort code on the same day!!

RSOT: people have asked me this a few times and it appears the only way, if any, would be for a foreigner to come here to the UK and apply inperson but would also need a utility bill/proof of home ownership or rental and probably a document on work permit.

people always think another country is easy to get banks or set up accs in, truth is, its harder if you are not living there.....

actually in europe there are same 'counter-terrorism' measures, you cannot even get a pre-paid dongle officially without showing paperwork in some countries, lets hope that does not happen in UK. Just excuses to hit ordinary people IMO

I think its a bit like the Patriots Act in USA

@KOKO: when you go to metro, it might be worth enquiring about their savers accounts too? I dont have on of those...yet!

This is wrong !

You can open as many new bank accounts online even if youre an account holder trust me...

Did all my ones with San tan der online and halifax.

Also Ebayorbust - no you dont have to go into the branch you can upload ID online at the time of application with most banks now

Some of the bank accouts i have opened online did not even require me to upload ID or even go into the branch with ID - Cooperative was one!

Hdavey10 is correct, once you have one opened you can open more online or via phone, takes minutes!

Not disagreeing with anyone but this is my experience of opening accounts. I've never been able to upload ID - it had to be posted or taken into a branch.

Making multiple accounts on line will eventually be flagged.

At some point the banking institution will want to 'know more' about their customer.

Wait for that and see what happens
