Was it a stealth account ? did you submit made up docs to match the stealth details ? If that's a yes to both. That is the reason why.

I am yet to get to MP but that's what im thinking will work?? It's the same for signing up to ETSY in the U.K, there system checks all the details you enter on sign up to make sure the details you entered a real. I don't think made up names and address's will get accepted or if so soon be deactived due to that person not being on any of the data bases

That isn't stealth though. That's actually having a real account difference being your family member isn't using it but you are.

My account..see post above yours.... was all real details because I bought it off somebody just different name (theirs) on my bank details account ...Bombed a few weeks after docs emailed to them.

The account details were all correct real person. I purchased the account off them 8 years ago. The only thing that would not have been legitimate was their name and address on my bank account statement. Same bank account used on paypal for 8 year.

You still have to use it as stealth though, i.e I.P address phone number all that jazz otherwise ebay / paypal will link you to your previous banned accounts. So it's still stealth IMO

Another thing is, forget the family member, i could use somebodys real info and address without them even knowing or consent then that's still a real account? or you could just make up a name and address off the bat i.e

Joe Bloggs
4 Wembley Lane

^ is a real living person at that address but they do not know your using there details

or

Steve Bloggs
5 Wembley Lane

^ Completely made up name but real address ...

or

Mary Bloggs
6 Wembley Lane

^ Real Name real address but family member and gave you consent to use it


All 3 are still stealth surely.

But point i was making was i'd assume if the database does a search and does not find a name and address matching your ebay one then it's going to be flagged and suspended straight away however the guy with the issue here says he did match everything all up the only thing different was address on the bank statement and name then it's not sounding to easy to pass =/

That`s right everything legitimate barring name on bank account.

To achieve true stealth using that method you would have to use details of a real person who cannot be linked to you, and who isn't aware you are using their details. So it would be Identity Th3ft which is quite risky when you are linking to a bank account in your own name. So it looks like the choices are to either make a legitimate account with your real details or commits serious fraud and risk getting in trouble.

So I have a real Ebay account in my mate's name which has been running for 14 years. He doesn't want me linking his bank account to the Ebay account any longer and I was previously suspended several years ago so is it possible to get through MP using his real details but just change the name of the Ebay account holder, Ebay business name and bank details into my own name. Obviously all the details for him are all real when they do a search although obviously I am not registered at that address if they check the electoral role or am I overthinking this?
